Working With Tribes
Old North Trail Partnership was founded on the belief that understanding the land requires more than data alone. It requires cultural knowledge, historical context, and meaningful relationships. Inspired by the Old North Trail that guided the Blackfeet people for generations, our work is grounded in respect for place, people, and the stories carried across the landscape.
We are a Native-led firm providing cultural and natural resources support to Tribes, agencies, land managers, and private clients. Our work centers on strengthening Tribal sovereignty and capacity through collaboration, offering expertise in NEPA and NHPA compliance, cultural resource management, environmental planning, geospatial analysis, and historic preservation.
Our approach goes beyond consulting—we work alongside Tribal departments as trusted partners, helping to fill internal capacity gaps and build long-term capability. This includes support in grant writing and development, establishing and managing GIS programs, technical report writing, and National Register nominations. We strive to be an extension of the teams we serve, ensuring that projects are carried forward with cultural integrity, technical excellence, and community priorities at the forefront.
Our focus is connection. We work to connect people to place, projects to communities, and decisions to cultural and environmental responsibility. Whether supporting regulatory processes or protecting sacred and significant landscapes, our work is rooted in integrity, accuracy, and lived understanding.
We are rooted in tradition, guided by knowledge, and committed to supporting Tribal nations in meeting today’s challenges while preparing for future generations.
